Vintage book
Here is a little vintage book I did. I used lots of techniques, and lots of Distress Inks! I LOVE Distress Ink! :)
Very nice! I love it! Was it expensive to do? I had my dad grab sum fallen leaves when he went back to MN on vacation and I want to display them....any ideas? They r very important to me...
Thanks Heather! Uhm it wasn't expensive really. I have been picking up vintage stuff here and there for a couple years. When I saw something on sale I'd grab it or something unusual. Then I decided on this book. I used a children's chipboard book and removed the top layer of paper on the pages. Then I chose the papers I wanted and cut to size and glued them to the chipboard pages. Then I sanded the edges and inked using Distress Inks. I think this particular book I used Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain ink colors. Then I added embellishments and some ribbons. All in all it took about 3 hours start to finish.
As far as the leaves, what kind of leaves are they? Are they pressed/dried? You could collage them on a scrapbook page and add a photo of your Dad, or someone special and frame it. Or you could pick a leaf or two out and ink them up and use them as a stamp and customize your own page design. You could do alot with leaves. If they are very special though, I would go with a scrapbook page for display. Or you could glue them into a book similar to the one above and add your own theme, nature or memories etc. Good luck! Be sure to post a picture when you finish so we can all see it! :)
