I had 3 cards to make this week for family/friends. I chose to use the same paper, and design 3 very different cards. I think they turned out pretty great! The first is for my sister who loves adventure. The second for my friend Deb who always makes me smile. And the third is for my fiance's mom. They are all similar but each have a unique twist that makes them different. Hope you like them! :)

Vintage Page
I made this page in memory of my Grandmother who recently passed away. I am entering this into the contest at Simon Says Stamp and Show. This week's theme is Tim Holtz inspired! Most of the techniques I have used were either learned from his editorial videos, inspired by him or using alot of his products. I love love LOVE Tim Holtz products! I distressed the edges of the paper, inked them up with Distress Inks in Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Brushed Corduroy. The flourish is grungeboard and inked with Alcohol inks in Caramel, Ginger and Copper. The filmstrip ribbon is also from Tim Holtz line, and I put miniature photos of my Grandmother behind it adhered with Glossy Accents. The Bingo card is cut from a page of the Tim Holtz paper stack called Lost and Found. I also used various other odds and ends that I had in my stash. Hope you like it! :)

Elephants
I made this card for my friend who loves Japanese art, and elephants. I hope she likes it! Happy Birthday Jules! :)
I used scrap background paper that has Japanese writing on it. I distressed it with my Making Memories paper distressing tool. I then used Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy. I added the elephant pieces that I picked up which are Jolee's by You with sticky dots to adhere the elephants to the paper, and to make them appear dimensional.

With Sympathy
My brother's wife's father passed away. I made her and the kids this card. I hope it brings them some peace... Live each day as it's our last, because it just might be... And tell your loved ones you love them at least once a day. And always smile because you never know how you are affecting someone else's day!

Things with Wings
Simon Says Stamp has issued their first ever challenge. And it is such a fun one! It's called "Things with Wings", go check it out! Anyway, so it got my creativity flowing and this is what came out of it! I recently got in touch with a very old friend from 20 years ago. Her kids are grown, mine are almost grown.. It got me thinking how Time Flies! So that's the inspiration behind my piece. Here is my "Things with Wings"... Have a great day! :)
The background paper is by Creative Imaginations, I also used a scrap of leftover vintage newsprint paper. The wings are grungeboard, and the clock face is by Heidi Swapp, with some Tim Holtz game spinners for the clock hands. I used Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and a bit of Aged Mahogany on the card and papers. Then on the wings I used Aged Mahogany and Black Soot. A scrap of lace, and the rub on is from a Marah Johnson swatch book. Used some sticky foam to make the clock face 3 dimensional. And I added some staples for added effect!
